Picasa for Linux

Google decided to stop supporting Picasa running on Linux. They have taken down the download link for the deb install package for Ubuntu Linux OS.

I need the deb install package as a pre-requisite to install any latest version of Picasa (Windows installation file) on my Ubuntu Linux OS. If you are not sure what I meant by installing the latest version of Picasa on Ubuntu Linux, please refer to this post for the steps.

Luckily I was able to find the deb install package file in the internet and save it for my future re-installation of Picasa on my Ubuntu Linux OS.

In order to share your Tasker love (projects, profiles, tasks or scenes) to all Tasker users, you will need to export Tasker's projects, profiles, tasks or scenes to xml files. Anyone out there looking for a specific automation for their Android phone could just download and import the xml files into their Tasker Android application and tweak the automation to suite their own use. Somehow i felt that the export and import functions are not that intuitive. I did took a bit of time and Googling to find out how to export and import properly. SKMEI 1358 Review

I bought this watch four months ago and I have been wearing it every week during my weekend hiking. Overall this watch is impressive considering the number of features per the price that I have paid for it. All the features worked flawlessly considering that this is a relatively cheap watch comparing it to Casio ProTrek range of watch. SKMEI 1358 is basically an equivalent of Casio's triple sensors watches. You might know them as Pro Trek or Pathfinder in North America. It has a barometer, a thermometer, and a digital compass. It also has an extra sensor that the Pro Trek watches might not have as far as I know of. It has a pedometer. Yes, it counts steps and estimates the calories burnt and distance traveled. How to import Tasker projects, profiles, tasks and scenes

Tasker is a very powerful Android smartphone automation application. Although Tasker can practically do anything you want, you still have to learn how to create the automation. I know many of you out there are just plain lazy or no time to pick up the skill. Many had relied on Tasker users shared automation projects, profiles, tasks or scenes to quickly kick start your automation without hassle. I am sharing most of my Tasker automations in this blog for the benefit of the lazy Tasker people (no offence, i am one of them too). The Tasker automations that i am sharing in this blog are just the exported xml files. Most probably i will not be writing the "step through" like some other websites did but you can download and import the xml files using Tasker. It's easy enough.
