Nokia Secret Codes

A list of secret codes to access various Nokia phones' information which are not presented in the menu.
  1. *#06#
    Displays the EMEI, the serial number of the mobile phone.
  2. *#0000#
    Displays the current installed firmware's information.
  3. *#2820# (*#bta_#)
    Displays the Bluetooth address of the mobile phone.
  4. *#62209526# (*#mac_wlan#)
     Displays the Wireless LAN's mac address of the mobile phone.
  5. *#7780# (*#rst_#)
    Soft reset the mobile phone. Restores settings to factory default settings but does not remove installed applications and games on the mobile phone.
  6.  *#7370# (*#res_#)
    Hard reset the mobile phone. Restores settings to factory default settings and remove all install applications and games in the mobile phone.
  7. *#3370#
    Enhanced Full Rate Codec (EFR) activation.
    Enhanced Full Rate increase the voice quality of phone calls with the expense of about 5% more energy compare to Full Rate codec.
  8. *#3370*
    (EFR) deactivation.
  9. *#4720#
    Half Rate Codec activation.
    Half Rate codec will lower the voice quality of phone calls but uses about 30% less energy.
  10. *#4720*
    Half Rate Codec deactivation.

    Sorry, the EFR and Half-Rate codec functions are not available in 5800.

    I don't have that phone but you can try it out. No harm on to it. You can also deactivate it back.

I bought this watch four months ago and I have been wearing it every week during my weekend hiking. Overall this watch is impressive considering the number of features per the price that I have paid for it. All the features worked flawlessly considering that this is a relatively cheap watch comparing it to Casio ProTrek range of watch. SKMEI 1358 is basically an equivalent of Casio's triple sensors watches. You might know them as Pro Trek or Pathfinder in North America. It has a barometer, a thermometer, and a digital compass. It also has an extra sensor that the Pro Trek watches might not have as far as I know of. It has a pedometer. Yes, it counts steps and estimates the calories burnt and distance traveled. With the combination of these sensors, this is an ideal outdoor watch you can have for a fraction of a Casio Pro Trek price. SKMEI 1358

Anyone out there looking for a specific automation for their Android phone could just download and import the xml files into their Tasker Android application and tweak the automation to suite their own use. Somehow i felt that the export and import functions are not that intuitive. I did took a bit of time and Googling to find out how to export and import properly. Tasker is a very powerful Android smartphone automation application. Although Tasker can practically do anything you want, you still have to learn how to create the automation. I know many of you out there are just plain lazy or no time to pick up the skill. Many had relied on Tasker users shared automation projects, profiles, tasks or scenes to quickly kick start your automation without hassle. I am sharing most of my Tasker automations in this blog for the benefit of the lazy Tasker people (no offence, i am one of them too). The Tasker automations that i am sharing in this blog are just the exported xml files. Most probably i will not be writing the "step through" like some other websites did but you can download and import the xml files using Tasker. It's easy enough. You can tweak my automation to suite your need. This post will show you how to import Tasker automation xml files into your Tasker application.
